Taiping Communication Integrated Power Supply Settings

Configure your Taiping power supply by selecting the communication interface, setting the device address, and adjusting memory parameters for remote control and monitoring.

Communication Interface Configuration

The power supply can be configured for RS-232, RS-485, USB, or LAN communication depending on your system requirements . To set the interface:

1. Press the REM button; the REM LED will illuminate.
2. The display shows “Intf” indicating interface selection mode.
3. Use the Current encoder to scroll through available interfaces.
4. Press the encoder to save the selected interface; the display will blink once to confirm . Important: Do not connect or disconnect the USB cable while the power supply is operating to avoid communication errors .

Address Setting

Each power supply must have a unique address (1–31) for networked operation:

1. Press the REM button; the REM LED illuminates.
2. The display shows “adr” on the current display.
3. Rotate the Current encoder to select the desired address.
4. Press the encoder to store the address; the display blinks once to confirm .

Memory and Default Parameters

The power supply stores memory parameters for voltage, current, and operational modes. Default settings can be restored or adjusted via the configuration menu. Use the CONF button to access the configuration menu, which allows:

• Voltage and current source control
• Analog programming/monitoring range selection
• Internal resistance and constant power limit functions
• Slew-rate control

LAN and Remote Operation

For models with LAN capability, the power supply can be controlled via a web browser or automation software. LAN settings allow:

• Remote programming and measurement
• Status monitoring
• Integration with factory or test automation systems using standard network protocols

Safety and Operational Notes

• Ensure AC input voltage is within the specified range (100–240V~, 50/60Hz) before powering on .
• For output voltages above 42.4VDC, ensure bus-bar or connector protection is installed to prevent electric shock .
• Ground the output terminal close to the chassis to minimize noise and interference .
