- Apply Heat: Use a heat gun or specialized oven to evenly heat the tubing. The outer tube shrinks, the inner adhesive melts, and the reinforcement rod secures the fiber.
- Inspect: After cooling, check that the tubing has fully encapsulated the splice and that the fiber is properly aligned and protected .
