  • Module Form Factor: SFP28, QSFP28, QSFP56, and QSFP-DD modules may have different equalization architectures (analog, DSP-based, or hybrid) affecting how EQ adjustments are applied .
  • Compliance Testing: Proper EQ adjustment is critical to pass IEEE 802.3 KR/KR4/KP4 and other high-speed optical standards.
  • System Integration: Equalization settings should be coordinated with host SerDes and PCB characteristics to achieve optimal eye opening and minimize BER.
