Installation Steps

1. Mount the Patch Panel
   • Choose a 19" or 23" rack or wall-mount location.
   • Secure the panel using screws or brackets according to the rack or wall specifications.
   • Ensure the panel is at a convenient height for fiber access .
2. Prepare the Fiber Cables
   • Strip the outer jacket and inner buffer tubes of the fiber cable.
   • Clean the fibers to remove any filling gel or debris.
   • Leave approximately 1.6 meters of fiber for routing and splicing .
3. Secure the Cable
   • Use the cable-pressing card or clamps to fix the cable and reinforce the steel core.
   • Route the fiber through the rubber grommets at the cable entry points to prevent damage .
4. Splicing and Termination
   • Place fibers into the splice tray, which can typically hold 12 fibers per tray.

   • Verify that fibers are not bent beyond the minimum bend radius (≥40mm) to prevent signal loss .
